Everyone approaches the task of writing with a different purpose in mind. What is essential, however, is to take on the role of writer not as a dabbler, a wannabe, but as a person determined to work studiously and hard at getting better and better with each story, poem or essay. The world is filled with people who are convinced they would be a good writer if they only had the time and energy.
Poseurs. Fakes. Writing should be an obsession, an essential part of your persona. Otherwise you are doing a disservice to the men and women who have sacrificed so much in the cause of the printed word…

Here you go – no charge. You’re keeping me entertained on a day when work is so dull I would like to smash my fist into the monitor just to know I’m still alive. Every now and then I move my chair around and shuffle some papers to give the illusion that I’m working.

quite an interesting thought… though people with a greater self belief and self esteem would never indulge into stealing ideas … they can probably have a venture capitalist helping them realise a dream !!
